this is very light and easy to use which is great for us over worked down trodden house husbands lol, its makes very light work of hovering,i have a very hairy dog and it picked up the hairs no prblem, the emptying is a simple release button, the only down side is "its noisy" and when useing the hose you do have to keep the hover next to you.but on the plus side it was about £150 cheeper than some other makes, and would they be any better?. hope this helps

It's not as loud as some people said in their reviews.
I found that it's filling rather quickly and it's annoying when after the first hoovering the filter got clogged up, so it needed cleaning. That was fiddly and I ended up washing it. I wish I bought the same as my previous vacuum cleaner - Panasonic.
Oh, yes - I could not hoover the stairs with keeping the vacuum cleaner at the bottom, as it claims on the advertising. The hose is not long enough.
Other then that - it cleans OK.

Few months down the line - I hate this vacuum cleaner - it needs cleaning the filter after every vacuum. Luckily for me it decided to pack it up - last week it started to smell like burning within a minute of starting it. The plastic near the motor was very hot also. Cleaned the filter - not a change. So I'm sending it back free of charge, refund to follow. Amazon were excellent!
I just bought Panasonic. That was my first vacuum cleaner. It was brilliant - no fiddly maintenance cleaning filters, lasted about 16 years! Hopefully this would be the same.
